[The video flickers on for the pure reason that she doesn't know how to switch it to anything else by herself, and so you all can get a nice face-full of Lily as she grins into her little device, all smiles and teeth hidden skillfully behind pink lips.
She may or may not be looking more cheerful than usual, but then again, it's hard to tell on a pint-sized little girl who generally looks 14 on the cheerfulness scale of one to ten. In her fist is the handle of a butterfly catching net, the ones that, more often than not, are used to catch all manner of things that are decidedly not butterflies. By the way she's holding it, it's highly doubtful that she has butterfly catching in mind.
A wide, wide grin.]
So I was thinking! [Because this, as most people would agree, is clearly an achievement.] And you know how everyone always says that there's not enough time?
[pause] Well, maybe your friends don't say it, because they do have enough time, but my friends never have enough time at all! They always say that they need more of it, because they're sick and they need time to make them feel all better, or they're busy, and they need time to do all the stuff that they need to do.
But it's not fair that some people get enough time while other people don't get enough time, right? And I don't like not-fair things. [another pause] But it's also not fair to take away other people's time and give the people who need time that time. Because it's not their time, you know? If you do something like that, then it's called theif-ing!
So I was thinking! [Reiteration! She's on her way to becoming a very competent politician!] Why don't we just go catch some time? Then, we can take that time and give it out to people who need it, and that way nobody will ever run out of time again!
[!!!] Oh! And before anyone says that time is too fast for someone to catch -- I have the perfect plan for that! So I know we can catch some for sure! But I'll need lots of people to come with me to make sure the plan is absolutely perfect, you know? And once I catch all that time, I'm going to give some to Jack and to Yosu and to Shika and to 'Jima and to Lady and to all my friends who need time, so they can finish getting better and being busy and play with me!
[Brilliant smile. She looks so damn proud of herself.]
