People are talking about holidays a lot lately, and that's probably because "Halloween" is coming up! You know, they don't always celebrate Halloween in other countries and cultures, so it's really not surprising that there are people here that have never heard of it. I really like holidays, though, so I already knew--I want to tell you about today's holiday!
Yes, I can see that you're wondering already: what holiday? There's no holiday on October 8th! Well, you're right, there isn't! Every other day has a holiday that takes place on it--I have a book of holidays, that's how I know--but October 8th doesn't have anything! Well, there's "Fluffernutter Day", but I've never heard of a fluffernutter... I should have Haruhi make me a commoner's dictionary... but I don't know that she knows what a fluffernutter is, either... Perhaps a Canadian dictionary?
Ah, but anyways! So, since there isn't a holiday assigned to this day, I decided to instate a holiday of my own! After all, we have so many people celebrating the monthly anniversary of their time here in Canada! I myself have had seven Canadian months so far, each one more interesting than the last. And we have a great many new people celebrating their very first days in Canada, which is equally exciting--if not more exciting in some ways! After all, the world of Canadian opportunity is still open to them--not that it isn't open to the rest of us. Hello, all you newcomers of the Newcomers! You don't know it yet, but Canada is a wonderful land, and you're very lucky!
All right! [And he's all business, suddenly, pointing his finger! Very dramatic!] So! In proposed celebration of my new holiday, I am making a Royal Decree! And here is my Royal Decree--I MADE BROWNIES FOR EVERYONE!
[a pose!] Yes, it's a Brownie Holiday! And I, Suou Tamaki, have conquered at least this part of baking! I have successfully mastered the oven! I have managed to make edible brownies, and I actually made quite a lot of them, and they're all in stacks like building blocks! But you have to come to the baseball diamond to get some of them, because I'm being a Greeter today, and anyways I have to move this dirt to make a place for flowers to be planted! Ah, or I can mail one to you--but they don't have express mail in Canada, I think, so it might not get to you until tomorrow. But that's all right, because then it will be like a surprise! You'll forget that you mail-ordered a brownie, and then, it will show up! But I already mailed out some of them to some certain people! [wink wink!] So you'll be extra surprised, certain people!
[And he's about to shut off the feed, when he pauses--sobering just slightly, but all that really means is a slight reduction of his smile.] Ah, and--my friend Kyouya went home the other day. He didn't have lots of friends here, but-- Well, just to keep everyone informed! [A pause, like he's going to say something more--but, no; just a smile that's smaller still, and he shuts off the video.]
