[Matt is sitting in a darkened room, the only light filtering in from another room - he seems to be sitting on a living room couch, and the kitchen is visible in the background, barely, where the light is. he's looking at the screen with his hands in front of him as he plays with the NV - it's a laptop sort of shape, and he's using a stylus, eyes flicking between the screen at the bottom half of the NV - playing a video game while he posts, and a cigarette dangles from a corner of his mouth. he exhales a puff of smoke, and regards the NV with a serious sort of look]
Least I'm rid of that damn sling.
[there's a long pause, and he lifts his left hand to pull the cigarette from between his lips, long slim fingers pale in the light from the screen of his NV, just like his face, though it's shadowed by his longish fringe]
Death is kind of a weird thing. Recurring theme and all. You know, I'm kind of curious, Siren's Port Newcomers. Have a lot of you died? I have a couple different insights on that particular subject, you know. Where I come from, you don't die and then come back, it's pretty damn permanent. Still, facts say otherwise in a few different ways, hn?
[he sighs, and takes another puff from his cigarette, lips curling into a small frown]
I'm going to kill myself if I make Yuffie sick with the secondhand smoke. It'd be nice if the Darkness didn't take so damn long.
