Remembering things is really important to me.

Yeah, but. The important thing is to have someone to claim responsibility for you if you get hurt or in trouble or something. If something bad happens, the lie would unravel if I just faked it.

Oh...going to school here....how much time does it take up?

Are those kids still bullying you around?

About six hours a day, and a couple of hours of studying and homework a night.

I still get teased sometimes. Right now, since I'm a black cat, they're making Halloween jokes about me. It's better to just ignore it - it's not a big deal.

Ugh. Miss Susan's trying to convince me to go to school in the spring.

But they're not pushing you around or anything?

I like studying and stuff, so it's not a bad deal for me. Besides, if we're here for the long-term, an education is the best way to get a job later, or so they say.

No one's pushed me in awhile. Rumors started circulating that my guardian would blow up the school if I got hurt... [Fond little laugh, oh Big Boss.]

I dunno. It's just how we do things back home. We work hard for a future someday. Even if you don't know what it is.

I mean, you wouldn't have to hold two jobs if you had one really good one, right?

But school won't really help me with that. It's not like I want to be...somebody in an office or something.

My test scores are so good they give me a scholarship. It covers tuition at the private school, and money for living expenses.
