[The usual smiling face of the pink hair'd, horned girl is sour, if not somewhat upset. If anything, she looks apprehensive and simply sad. Perhaps disappointed more than anything.]
Today, a bad thing happened to Nana.
Nana went to go to the store on the corner of the street to buy a treat, because Mister Hughes said Nana could pick out a treat if Nana finished all her letters and numbers. Nana did, because Nana's good, so Nana went to go pick out a treat.
That's when the bad thing happened.
Nana still can't read very well, so Nana asked a boy who was in the store for help. But instead of helping he called Nana a demon and made fun of Nana. He threw bottles at Nana but it didn't really hurt. He tried to kick Nana too, but Nana pushed him away. He called Nana bad things that Nana doesn't really understand, but they sounded mean.
[She seems a bit annoyed, if desperate at this point.] Nana isn't a demon! Mister William thought the same thing because Nana has horns, but that doesn't make Nana a bad person or a demon! Other things that have horns aren't demons. Nana was looking at a book and there was a picture of an animal called a goat and it has horns but it's not a demon it's a goat. It's cute too. Goats aren't demons and neither is Nana. So why do people think Nana is a demon but goats aren't?
...Humans are always scared of things that are different. They hate things that are different from them. They want to kill things that are different from them. But shouldn't different be a good thing? If everyone was the same, then no one would be special. Being special and different...isn't that good?
