Been so busy I forgot to say anything on the network about the film contest! Oh- if anyone doesn't know by now,Swept Away won. Not bad for a second shot at making a good video. Now people can recognize me as 'that kid who was a film festival director' and not just 'that kid who made the dumb countdown movie'.

Good job with everyone else's, though! I ( Read more... )

Congratulations to you and Mr. Cohen, Joe! That's fantastic news! I bet that really put that jerk in his place too.

Anyway, as for using powers in sports - I think if both sides are using powers, it's pretty fair. I mean, to an extent.

Hnh! That's the important thing, right?

AGI does have powered players. They just don't have SERO's level of...y'know, 'special tech'. Enhancements. Whatever you want to call it.

Absolutely! [ Giggle ] I really wish I could see the look on that guy's face when he saw the results.

So SERO has the advantage over AGI even though they both have enhancements... well to be honest, it would make a win all the more satisfying if AGI manages to get past SERO right? I mean, I don't know anything about football so I couldn't really say anything about how the game goes.

But I know about being outclassed, and having to outmanuever people who outnumber you and coming out on top. It's not always about the powers you have.

I heard a rumor he stormed out halfway through.

It would, it makes the betting odds better too...hmm.

[ And she laughs. ]

Serves him right.

I do, but I've been at a disadvantage too, even if I can waterbend. I can be outnumbered and overpowered as much as anyone else.

You could say that my friends and I were at a disadvantage back home too. We were always on the run from Fire Nation soldiers, while trying to help my friend Aang learn the four elements.

It was difficult, and we would certainly never have gotten as far as we did if we just recklessly charged through like an angry sabertooth mooselion.

So how did you do it, then? Get more powerful, I mean?

I trained every day. At first it was just me practicing the few bending moves I knew. Then I broadened that into experimenting with different methods of how to fight with the water.

When we reached our sister tribe in the north, I was able to train under a Master, and advanced to Master rank myself then.

But basically... yeah, training, keeping my mind sharp...

I don't really know if I get so much stronger with training. I practice out in the darkness almost every night, but-
