[The voice comes first before the video image - Adachi's face is above the view of the camera at first, leaning forward but head turned back toward someone on the other end of the station room. The (very) occasional officer shuffles past behind him, but that's just the general (lack of) hustle and bustle of the precinct, it seems, because none of them seem to pay the camera much mind. He turns back, ducking his head into view.]
All right, so the higher-ups tell me there's been a lotta missing persons cases here and there lately, and to remind all of you-
[He taps a finger against the screen.]
Not to worry too much, I guess, and to follow proper protocol in reporting missing people. They gotta be missing for at least twelve hours, unless you have substantial reason to believe that the person is in immediate danger - like some ransom note or somethin', and to have an account of what they look like, what they were wearing-
[He sounds like he's reading off a check-list.]
And the guys in forensics are talkin' about some sort of toothbrush or comb for samples-
[A pause. Adachi's eyes slide to the side first before he turns, letting go of the NV device (it topples sideways onto the table) and standing up.]
Hey, this isn't just some hokey assignment to keep me outta your hair is it, sir? H-hey, that's not fair! All I did was ask about-
[Thankfully, he reaches back and cuts the transmission before any accidental recording can further ruin the image of your local friendly neighborhood police force.]
