{all written in cramped, dense script, unlike his usual graceful cursive, broken occasionally with scratchings-out, small calculations, little drawings.}
5+6
4→where is he? he keeps his silence, perhaps for the best.
13. 8.
14→here, returned. No mmry of her past presence - seek her? They'll be wary (bridges must be mended, but what was ncsry was done).→Roxas, Axel, others. Best let her seek us - if not watch as ncsry. Opportunities may arise
Naminé - where is Naminé??? →some scents here are altered. I lack comparisons for many of them as the majority are from outworlders, unknown to me previously, but the alteration of scents here from those I knew before is something I have a basis of cmprsn for.
8+13+14+Riku+replica+keybearer→we are outnumbered; outmatched→avoid direct confrontation at all costs→control 4 - he is our loosest cannon. I dislike our odds but we may continue to survive. 4 will fall into line under someone with the appropriate charisma or raw power - 1. Until then we must maintain his connection and he must be patronized at least to a small degree.
5&6→Uryuu
Aizen
Gin
→Miharu and Yoite
Kei Yuki is gone. It is a waste.
Having a minor stake in SERO allows me freedom but a powerful connection→may still be advisable to move upwards - higher clearance higher involvement more information into the goings-on in city/company relations between company/Nobodies still secret→keybearer is ridiculously incautious about his unique characteristics+talents.
Riku pushes his Darkness further-exercises/tests it. Results from working on him were encrging - under control??? Guardian appeared | but under normal circumstances he may have the situation in his grasp. I have no desire to see Xehanort run roughshod over this place and draw undue attention unless it is to some greater, secured purpose after which we will move freely. If he cannot be removed he must be monitored (continue remotely; scent tracking/fluctuating levels of Darkness-)
This cloying Darkness here is greater/lesser/similar? capturing dead souls-if a Nobody dies here we will return as some others have? It is not something I wish to test (erratic results;pssblty of perm.warp). We must watch each other closely, that the Darkness here does not warp us out of true (we are creatures of Nothingness not of Darkness but still it influences us; purest water shows taint first and if we are Nothing then there is taint and taint only)
May it eventually force us into gripping onto our rationality only by our fingernails or may it not we must maintain vigilance within/without there is no one and nothing we can trust (Someone is always more important than Noone; we are the only things we can rely on).
→how are we held in this world?
→what holds us together now after our dissolution? (Lexaeus suggests the Pull; I cannot entirely refute him and it may be to our greatest benefit to ensure the Core is never fixed or destroyed)
→does the Core exist?
the Core may exist.
→is the Core random?
the Core is not random.
→does the Core have a will?
unknown.
{and now, writing publicly, in his usual graceful cursive. A link is embedded within his post.}
A story, denizens, for possible consideration on what may be a night slow or quick for you.
Some of you may recognize it, perhaps? I understand that this story is a part of the curriculum integrated into many English classes in earlier schooling. For those of you not inclined to read, the title is The Lady Or The Tiger and it chronicles a brief love story and a longer story of chance luck or punishment. A King therein metes out judgment in his land by forcing criminals into an arena in which they may choose to open one of two doors. Behind on, there is a tiger; behind the other waits a woman. If they choose the tiger they are ripped to pieces and devoured, thus punished. If they choose the lady they are wedded to her and pardoned.
In this particular case, the criminal waiting for judgment is a young nobleman with the temerity to love the Princess: the King's daughter. Though he has had the nerve to love the Princess he is to be judged likewise to all the criminals before him, to choose between silent identical doors which may doom or save him.
The difference in this case is that the princess has found out behind which door is the lady, and which door is the tiger. The lady who will save the princess' lover should that door be chosen is a woman the princess hates! The thought of giving up this young man who was so astounding that she would love him - the pain is incredible. And yet, the pain of imagining him rent into pieces, torn apart and devoured still alive - indescribable. Her errant heart is pulled this way and that between two agonies (a side note - did you know that the original root of agony meant struggle? Today we use it mostly to refer to pain, but in the heart of the word there is this heart: a battle. An agony that becomes a battle - now you know).
So, the princess is conflicted. But when her lover steps into the arena and must choose his fate, he looks to her, quick as a flash, and she directs him with utmost subtlety and rapidity to a door...
But herein the story ends. We are never told exactly which door the young princess directs her now-former lover to, whether she condemns herself to watching him live without her, or forces herself to watch him die, knowing that none other can have him. We are asked to consider human nature.
Now I ask all of you: which door do you think the princess sent him to? Which fate did she choose for him?
