I went down to walk by the water today and these birds were there. Does anyone know what kind they are? They were walking in the water, dipping their beaks in the sand. Their legs and the skin around their eyes (I think it was their skin and not their eyes) and their beaks were bright orange. They had greyish and white kind of bellies and otherwise they were black.
I have a library card now, I suppose. I found a library. They certainly make things more complicated. It's nice to know that they care about books. I suppose that's what it is, at least. I have a government ID and a library card now. Is that all it takes to be considered a citizen? Or at least, a citizen on sufferance?
The question has also come up: has anyone started to keep track of arrivals and departures here? I had heard people have died. {paaaaaaause in writing.} Something like that should be paid attention to.
