There were a lot of people at the cafe tonight. I was surprised... But then again, it's nice and cool in there. I heard from my manager that the reason why restaurants are always cool is because it makes people want to eat. That way, even if the food is scalding hot, you don't mind it because you want something warm in your stomach. I never really thought about that.
[She shuffles the cards in her hands, putting a few down in a diamond spread, face down.] Anyway... A lot of people were talking about summer vacation ending, and about school clubs. So it got me thinking about people's hobbies... It seems like too many people are focused on having a job to pay their rent that it's hard to have fun.
[The girl stops and smiles at the camera.] Well, rent is important, but you know what I mean, right?
So, how many people here have really been able to pick up one of their old hobbies from home, and what were they? Would you pick up anything new if you could?
[She flips over one of the cards. Because of the camera angle, it's hard to see what it is, but she briefly frowns before her usual smile washes back over her face.] School's almost here. You better get some vacation time in, Siren's Port, before it's busy again. Edgeworth, I found two buildings for you. I'll bring the pictures and information about them tomorrow for you to look at.
And as for my roommates... [She leans in, smiling brightly.] We're going to the beach tomorrow. No excuses. There's stuff for us in the living room that I dropped off and Roland's coming with us. Yosuke, you're coming too. Invite your friend Kanji too! It'll be fun!
[There's a whistle, and she scoops up the cards, quickly shutting off the NV.]
