People truly do seem to struggle with heat like this. Personally, I'm used to it. I spent a lot of time in the desert, so this isn't really as awkward for me as it seems to be with others. But for people who aren't used to it, I suppose it can be overwhelming.

You're supposed to cover up your skin for several reasons. Firstly, it reduces the risk of burning. Even with sunscreen, at high temperatures, your skin will blister. It also offers protection from any other elemental dangers. As well as that, more clothing can actually keep you cool, assuming it's light enough. Heavy and dark clothing will render the heat far more unbearable, but light and pale clothing will make it easier in the long run.
