Hah! Guess when it pays to have a crummy workday!

I got tripped by some idiot smart mouth SERO-fan today and lost half my tray, got hollered at by the boss, had to cover the lost merchandise out of my pocket and stay after do someone else's sections too, after my own (sticky lemonade's a pain to mop up). But late bleachers duty after the game aren' ( Read more... )

Do you need powers to play baseball? The people on the official teams do, I know, but don't some people do it for...for fun? [Because he knows so very much about fun.]

That's cool about the tickets, though.

No, but without powers, it's harder to play against people who do.

Hey, can you do me a favor and hold onto the passes, since you already work tickets? I'll write you a list of who's coming on what day, and then you can just check 'em in.

Maybe the people without powers should play together, then.

Sure. If they come on a day when I'm not working, I know a guy who can do it and won't steal them or something.

Utena used to talk about that. A smaller league, or a newcomer team. It would be fun to try, just for fun.

Great, thanks.

We'd need enough for two teams if they were going to play without powers, though. I wonder if it's hard to play. [And now he's mentally comparing swinging the Keyblade to swinging a bat.]

It's hard to hit anything, the way the pro pitchers throw them.

But the rules aren't too hard. You'd need two teams, nine each at least, and somebody to be the Ump.

I wouldn't want to try that for my first bat anyway.

That could be fun, maybe. I tried this game with a ball and stick once in Twilight Town and was pretty good at it. You didn't have to run around bases, though.

We could practice it somewhere, maybe. Get a bat and a baseball...

Of the Keyblade.

No! Don't play baseball with a keyblade!

I wouldn't in a real game. But it's what I used in Twilight Town. It was easier than the stick.

[There's a quiet sound, a soft envious noise.]

You shouldn't use something like a keyblade to play sports with. It's not a toy.

[Pause of awkward.]

I know that.

...I'll get us a bat, if you want to give it a try. We can practice before ice cream.

Sure. Xion can try it too.
