Glad to see you're in better shape. I was worried about you, but it seems like your friends had everything under control.

As for where I'm employed, I'm still managing my store. I'm in the process of taking over a hotel shortly, and am currently finalizing all necessary paperwork.

Such worry was unnecessary, but noted. Forgive me - did you say you are taking over a hotel?

Mm, yes. It's a small boutique located next to my shop. I was planning on annexing the two buildings.

How do you have the funds for such an endeavor?

The same way I opened my shop -- as a joint venture. AGI is my primary investor.

[A slight pause.] Ah. I suppose that would help, yes.

Well... it isn't entirely a joint venture. At least, not in the legal sense of the term since they aren't exactly a partner in the business. But they are, however, the largest and primary investor.

Generous.

If you can call a 60/40 split generous. With the shop, that is. The hotel is 70/30.

That they would invest in so potentially risky a venture at all is generous, yes. They're under no obligation to do so.

You can say I'm very convincing.

[A pause.]

It's not what I would call an average hotel, anyway.

Meaning what?

Hmm, I suppose you can say it caters to a... certain need.

I'm sure that I "can" say that indeed. I am asking precisely what this "need" is.

An adult one, of course!

[Glibly.]

No, I presume children would not rent hotel rooms. Specify.
