[ An NV device turns on to reveal a… smiling Kyouya? More than that, it would appear that he is radiating pleasantness. Radiating it.
Well… stranger things have happened. ]
As some of you may already know, my name is Kyouya Ohtori [ yes… Western style would do. Wouldn’t it? ]. I have to apologise for my appalling manners on previous occasions. When one finds themselves in such a meritless position, one is liable to act… rather out of character.
However, that certainly isn’t the reason that I am here to speak with you today.
[ So no, Ohtori Kyouya certainly hadn’t turned over a new leaf. Not at all. ]
It… has recently come to my attention [ Read: Someone had rather over-enthusiastically bawwwwwwwed at him until he said something. ] that this... charming city is lacking in a Host Club. Therefore-
[SORRY, KYOUYA. Sudden interruption! Tamaki is instantly looking over his shoulder, peering down at the NV. Smiling. Oh, how he's smiling. He heard all of this and he approves. And is... probably a little too close to Kyouya for comfort, but he should be used to that by now.]
THEREFORE! We are going to start a Host Club! The first ever, and the best ever! Prepare yourselves, Siren's Port, because this will be a club like you have never experienced before! There will be theme days, and costumes, and, and--and we will serve tea and make pleasant conversation, and spread the message and mission of the Host Club all across this island!
It will be beautiful, just beautiful! [A moment of sparkling silence, a fond sigh--but no more than a moment! Before Kyouya can get a word in, he snaps to attention again.] But fear not! This will not be an exclusive club! It will be open to commoners, one and all--all of you! We are changing the parameters, to make it enjoyable to everyone here! Because everyone needs to feel uplifted, and cheered up, and everyone needs to experience the true and clear refreshing beauty of the Host Club! [He backs off a little to strike an inspiring pose, momentarily losing focus.]
[ And with that loss of focus, Kyouya none-too-pleasantly shoves him out of the view of the video feed, still smiling as thogh that little… interruption had never occurred. ]
As I was saying, this… charming city is lacking a Host Club. Should such an institution be established here, it will almost certainly aid a good deal of individuals in not continually focusing on their own meagre and worthless existences. [ Have another CHARMING smile. ]
Which, I think we all can agree holds a great deal of merit.
[Slightly muffled now, and off camera, because Tamaki hasn't yet gotten up off the floor.] Not just merit! But a necessity, Kyouya! People need to feel as if they are loved and cared for, no matter the capacity! That's part of the mission that we will spread--along with the refreshing relief of being casually and cordially entertained!
[And now he sits up, climbing back into the video, all smiles but slightly rumpled from his recent crash to the floor.] And it isn't "should" it be established--it's when! And that time is NOW! That's what Kyouya really means! After having our Host Club Booth at the charming commoner's Canada Day celebration, I was struck with inspiration--so we're going to start it! Isn't it exciting! [Seizing hold of Kyouya's arm and looking at him instead!] Isn't it exciting, Kyouya! We can do the good work of hosts again!
[ As Kyouya speaks to his best friend, it is in a completely monotone tone of voice. ]Terribly exciting. [ And thus, feeling as though this... Public Service Announcement was completely derailed from the original intent, Ohtori Kyouya cuts the video feed.
