[Shijima is... up high. Not on top of a building, as there's nothing directly around her-- she's up high and, what, those might be telephone wires behind her, yes. One might be able to deduce that she is chilling atop a telephone pole. Um, there's a crow in her hair. It's early morning and the crow looks content but Shijima does not.]
I have about two 'wearable' dresses left. You know, maintenance is difficult. Some people put up with it for a long time. I prefer not to.
My hair has grown a tiny, tiny bit. Theoretically, it could reach my feet. I am not patient enough for that. [Theoretically she could grow, too, but what she's saying is that she is too impatient to let her body do things naturally, instead swinging in between cat and girl. She wrinkles her nose, a little.] A development in personality is different from a development in body. In some ways, as different as two people may be from one another. Still, are they not often imagined side by side?
[Beat. Small smile.]

[Clear expression, again. She lifts her fingers to the crow, without looking up at it.]
I go on like this with the intention of benefiting myself, but in the long run, it won't even do much of that. [The crow pecks, and then she lowers her fingers to her neck, instead.] My throat feels good when I speak. I like talking.
