[There's a tiny bit of noise from Jade's examining the device after turning the microphone on, but otherwise nothing. He did, after all, look it over thoroughly and figure out how it worked before trying to use it.]
This is Jade Curtiss speaking. I think I can safely say that I am no longer in Micro Metropolis, judging from more or less every detail of the surroundings. [His voice is dry, and a bit irritated, but mainly serious and business-like.] The first question, obviously, is where this is, but before that I'd like to know if anyone else from Micro Metropolis is here. It's possible that we've all been transported to a different location, for whatever reason.
[He adjusts his glasses.] If that's not the case, I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me what world they are from - most specifically, if you've found yourself in a situation like this before now. I'd rather not make any assumptions about the state of affairs until I've gathered more information.
[He frowns slightly, glancing down at the computer's controls. It's small enough to carry with him, at least, so he might as well do a little exploring. He adds:] I'll do my best to respond quickly to any messages I receive. [Turning it off and folding it away, Jade gets up. Where to look, and what to look for...?]
