There's no sense in continuing to deny what seems an obvious conclusion to make. Our captain, as well as our cook, no longer exist in this world. Perhaps they'll return to us. Perhaps we'll return to them. We cannot know the future, only speculate upon it based on what we know of the past.

Have there been cases of people who were once brought here from another world, suddenly vanished- their existence seemingly erased in all but memory- only to appear once again?
