Video! Everyone come see the new place!
[Jubilee's lying on a bed. Behind her, a wall is painted a bright cheery blue, with stencils on it of butterflies, flowers and vines. Her feet are kicked up and she's got her hair down, no make up on, and looks to be lounging in a tank top and shorts.
She shifts to sit up and crosses her legs looking seriously at the NV for a moment. There's small paint spatters on the blue tank top she's wearing.]
So, I've made a small decision. I know, I know, none of you probably care, but hey, what the hell, right?
I was wondering if anyone knew of any good fabric stores around here. I need everything from fabric for pillows to fabric for clothing. I'm going to see if I can put my piddly little design degree to work.
Now, the degree is for interior design, but hey, I've sewn clothes with Jean before, and done way too many alterations to count. When you're as small as me, people just don't make awesome clothes in my size.
[Jubilee pauses, looking thoughtful, and pushes hair out of her face, tucking a bit behind her ear.]
I don't normally make video posts, because most of the time I'm doing five different things and you guys totally do not want to see what I'm doing.
[A quick grin and a wink]
Mind out of the gutter pervs; I'm talking mundane things like painting and cleaning this place.
[The grin stays, but goes a little whimsical.]
I also don't normally talk about home, but I'm starting to miss the good ol' US of A. Sure, most of the populace seemed to want me dead or exiled, but don't ya think an alternate dimension was just a tiny bit of overkill?
Besides which, I miss LA. This place? Not so good with the shopping, dudes. Just, it's not.
Also, it's been way too long since I dyed my hair random colors. I should get back into that. The XMen start with the showing - which, I gotta admit, I'm kinda shocked they haven't, but this isn't the first time I've been on my own - they won't recognize me with black hair. Been keeping it funky since I was like twelve, save for the stints in Australia, Madripoor, Japan and Shi'ar space. But that doesn't count, because I couldn't exactly request hair dye while hangin' in the tunnels under a secret base now could I?
[A thoughtful pause as Jubilee stops for a moment]
Wait, I had a point to this... OH! A decision! That's it! If anyone needs clothing alterations done, or wants some funky pillows for the homestead - or anything like that, really - feel free to hit me up. We'll work out a payment - and guys, I'm totally down with the bartering for labor for the whatever you want; this place still needs a ton of work - and then voila! You get a Jubilee original for your very own.
