Some of them are here, others aren't. The King, Donald, Goofy and Kairi are out on different worlds somewhere. There's a whole list of people who are here but so far none of us have found a way out yet.

They aren't exactly Heartless. Just other monsters that come from the darkness. And you don't have to worry about them during the day.
