Mysterious Activity at Grayson’s Orchards

In a report finally released after disturbances in the Grayson orchards, they seem to be admitting to a disturbance that already hit the news due to calls into the police Tuesday morning, instead of stating what happened.

Monday night there were reports of lights, fire and other strange flashes could be seen deep in the orchards and specialists noted that the Mutation and Bitter Child population decreased on the streets and seemed to flock to the orchards that night.

By morning, when the police were able to investigate, only scorch marks could be found on the grounds and a few burnt trees that are now attempting to be taken care of. It also notes that it appears a large fight took place on the grounds. Small amounts of blood that did not go away come the daytime were found here and there, but nothing substantial and it doesn’t appear that large amounts of fruits were stolen from the orchards themselves. But the reporter seems think, and notes, that there might be a nice increase of fruit on the market this coming week and to keep an eye out for it.

Near the end of the article the reporter seems to get more and more biased, and writes that the investigation is ongoing but this reporter seems to think it’s just amateurs on a night run, and comments that there is a lot more work the department could be doing instead.

Security will be tighter the next week or so as police will be placed on a thicker patrol just before nightfall, but they seem to doubt, judging by the tone, that it will do anything.

Sports News

Tuesday afternoons Basketball game came to an end rather swiftly. The Hardcourt Ripjaws barely squeak by with another win over the North Side Freelancers. The Freelancers have been doing poorly this year, but reports say that last night they were top of their game. Though the end score was 172 to 170, another loss for the Freelancers, they were much closer this time then they have been all year.

Sports fans were given a treat for a change. Instead of the long and boring battle to see how many points the Ripjaws will win over the Freelancers this time it seemed a bit more lively with a louder and more enthusiastic crowd. The news from the betting pools say that this game will massively change the odds for the season, and Freelancer supporting hopefuls finally seem to think they have a decent chance.

Despite their win, reports from the game do count some unfortunate events for the Ripjaws, the reports say that the Ripjaws star player Tao Crouchmen complained about having a bit of bad luck. The six foot eleven center sprang his ankle midway through the game, having tripped over a black cat. There was a chase as the cat was ran off court before the game continued, with the crowd in an uproar.

There was no word on Tao Crouchmen’s ankle or if he will be able to play again next week Sunday but the Freelancers are hoping for the worst for him.
