What do you think defines a person? Their job? Their status in society? Their duty or obligation to others?
Say you have a job you dislike or feel a waning satisfaction toward it but feel obligated to stick with it. Is it better to stick with it or say to hell with it all? Would your answer be the same if there was a promise or contract involved?
Also as an aside, whoever blew up that apartment? Seriously, if you're going to do something like that at least be a little more classy and clever about it. Leaving the stove on just makes you look like an idiot and extremely obvious. Unless that's what you were going for, then by all means, continue.
