[An irritated, slightly female voice filters over the network. It’s clear the person in question is annoyed and who wouldn’t be?]

What is this, seriously? Kidnap Haruhi day? I think you’ve gone a little too far this time.

[And really! They have. This was probably Tamaki’s idea somehow…He always had the worst ideas.]

Unless…

In between all the absurd theatrics, did Suou actually tell you anything about this place?

Aside from the fact there are monsters and he proudly has been living off of ramen for the past month, I'm afraid not sir.

This is a city called Siren's Port. It's purported located off the coast of Canada. You will not, unfortunately, be able to leave.

C...Canada? That's where this place is? ...Well at least that explains why it's so cold... So there really is no way out of here then? [The sigh, can you here it Edgeworth? Imagine living with Tamaki, it'll do that to you.]

No; there is not. Apart from the fact that transportation off the island is rare, it will be...physically painful if you attempt to leave. We do not know why.

Well that's discouraging...[Another sigh.] Um, what should I call you sir? My name's Haruhi Fujioka.

Forgive me. Miles Edgeworth; I'm an attorney here. Is it Ms. Fujioka, or Ms. Haruhi?

Ah, it's nice to meet you Mr. Edgeworth. Oh...I guess it would be Ms. Fujioka? But please, just call me Haruhi.

Oh, you're an attorney? Really? That's so great.

I prefer Ms. Fujioka. But, ah - yes. A prosecutor.

Well, alright.

Back home I'd been studying hard so I can get into law school and become a lawyer like my mother was. It's encouraging to meet someone in the field here.

Truly? That's an excellent course of action - and, indeed, I find it quite thoroughly encouraging myself merely to hear that from you. It seems as though young people today are altogether unwilling to put in the effort necessary to embark on that career path. What sort of law did she practice?

Absolutely. It's always been my dream. I believe it was Criminal Law if I'm not mistaken.

[Sob they never specify what kind of lawyer her mom is so going with the default gonna prosecute the bad guy law ;~;]

You also wish to be a criminal lawyer?

Where are you currently in school? What grade level, I mean.

I should be starting eleventh grade next at Ouran Academy. It's a private school filled with rich kids that haven't a care in the world. I'm only there on a scholarship in which I have to be at the top of all my classes to keep it. I don't care much for the school, really, but it's a great name to put on a resume.
