[He is looking at the camera screen, lips pursed in a thin line and fairly expressionless if the small lines around the corner of his eyes and between serious eyebrows had not been present. Blue eyes are clear, unflinching and patient and staring, staring, staring; it is almost eerie, like he's probing through the monitor and past the network

[Tifa peers into the NV at Cas. He's almost like Vincent, just without the long hair...or the emo.]
Are you a new arrival to Sirens Port?

[Head tilt.]
I am new here, yes. Is that a common occurrence?

They try to explain what this place is, and what it's like here, and about your free thirty days of living in the Tower Apartments. I could try, if no one's explained anything.
[She's a little mesmerized by how bright and blue his eyes are. So like Cloud.]

[A pause.]
Thank you for your kind offer.
[A beat.]
But I would really appreciate what knowledge you can share about this place. I have not been acquainted by a greeter, however.

OH! That brings me to my first point. When night falls, monsters come, and everything sort of...decays. You want to be inside when that happens, because all night there's no end to them.
Uhm...we think we were brought here by something called "The Core". Some kind of machine maybe, but we really know very little about it or where it might be.
And we can't leave. There's some kind of "Pull" that keeps us here. If you go too far, it'll hurt you, eventually causing you to pass out or maybe even kill you.
And...we're not popular here. The people don't care for newcomers...there's even a pair of men murdering and dismembering newcomers right now. A...lot of people have died. So it's not safe to be alone.
[She puffs out her cheeks in thought] I...think that's it?

[A pause. Because he is wondering about this machine.]
This machine you speak of ... is that all the knowledge you have of it? Has anyone found it yet?
[Machines can't hold demons or angels in place. They just can't. Unless it's functioning under a powerful spell enough to imprison an angel. Enochian, again? Because Castiel hasn't found anything that resemble a large machine. He knows the Pull though. That must be the leash he's feeling when he gets too far.]

[She frowns though, nodding.]
Sadly so, and sadly not. Some of the others might know more about it then I, but I know no one's found it yet. If it's what's keeping us here, I know a lot of people would like to see it destroyed...

[There is a very small frown on his face now.]
What should I call you?

[There is a brief nod and a probing stare that is coupled with a strange silence.]
Are you in pursuit of this machine?

[She frowns thoughtfully.]
I think I'm more concerned with doing what I can to help while I am here. Although if it came up in front of me...I'd probably still wreck it if I could.

[This is what he is forced to believe. God works in mysterious ways; all these people being forced here, there might be a meaning to it. Or perhaps it is just another sign.]

[She frowns, tapping one finger thoughtfully against her chin.]
But how do we pass then? By letting ourselves be stuck here?

One of the greatest things that was given to man was their ability to make choices and choose what to do with themselves as opposed to following orders from someone else. The test is what you make of it. What man chooses to do with their time ...
