[Woah, hello. While Vanitas reels back a bit, since he wasn't expecting Ventus to be here. Its a double whammy when he's faced with such a hostile and rather, rude, tone. I mean, it makes sense. Ventus was finally starting to grow a background. But this was different. Vanitas couldn't quite put his finger on it. But it sure was different.]

[It hits him now in a way it hadn't before. No sign of recognition in Vanitas' tone, no 'Ventus Junior,' nothing to acknowledge any of their past run-ins. Vanitas is back and he doesn't remember a thing. It's a fresh start.

He could hurl another insult. Inform him that he isn't the person Vanitas so obviously thinks he is. Instead, Roxas does something he's never done around Vanitas before.

He laughs. Quietly, and without much mirth. As if he's suddenly spotted some ridiculous joke and he's not sharing what it is.]

[Vanitas quirks his head to the side. ]

What's so funny...? [His tone is flat, but there is an edge to it. The lingering tension in the air rising]

[He's still smiling, though he's not any more amused.]

You have no idea what you're getting into here, Vanitas.

Hmph. [Something's definitely wrong with Ventus. He's not getting the usual vibe that he get's from their conversations. But for now, he'll just humor the idea.]

I think I may have an idea. Its not like anything has changed.
