[Typically Frau doesn't check the news feeds.  He has no reason to.  However, there's been more than one time where he hasn't felt right and the answer to why was in the news.  It hadn't made him start keeping up to date on what was going on though.  At least, not until now

[By some miracle, Hattie didn't seem to get hit with any of this. She cringes at the sight of Frau.]

Oh dear. I've had that once and was bed-ridden for -days-. Have you called out from work already?

I didn't go in yesterday, and I told them I might not make it tonight.

[She taps her cheek.]

I see, I hope you get better soon. Ah! Do you have any books or magazines? If you'd like, I could lend you some of mine to keep yourself entertained~.

[A slow smile spreads across his face. Entertainment he has. Not as much as at home, but enough to keep him occupied.]

I'm good.

[She chuckles.]

All right, but if things change, give me a call anytime. Time that's reasonable, that is, a girl's got to have her beauty rest.

You mentioned that you didn't know you could get food poisoning. Are you normally immune to things like that?

I haven't been sick in years.

[Being dead sort of does that to you. There are other problems than sickness.]

[Hattie double-takes]

W- What? Really? Not even the sniffles or a cough or a pimple? [Yes, she believes a pimple qualifies as a sickness.] Tell me your secret, I won't tell anyone, promise! Please?

Nope. Nothing aside from feeling cold.

[He doesn't see what the big deal is. The sacrifice isn't exactly worth it.]

That's amazing! If I never got sick again, that would be so useful; I'd never have to put off my schedules -ever-. So, let me guess, a spell or something is involved, right?

Spell? No. I didn't do anything that makes this happen.

[It was more done to him than anything else.]

[Hattie frowns.]

.. Oh. Why do I have a feeling I'm not going to get a straight answer out from you?

Hm. Probably because you're a smart woman.

[Flattery always works.]

[Hattie looks taken aback a moment. Her cheeks flushed, then Hattie covered a hand over her mouth as she giggled like a schoolgirl.]

Oh -Frau-, you're too much!

[After a moment or two she settles down, and gives in.]

All right, I'll figure it out myself then.

Get plenty of rest and I'll talk to you later, all right? There's an idea for next month that I wish to speak with you about.
