The snowglobe things didn't stay around that long, but it was really nice to get to see a little bit of home! I didn't think they would melt like that, though. It was sort of surprising... I wish I could have kept it a little bit longer. I'm really curious what all the rest of them looked like, though! What was in everybody's world?

It really is too bad that they melted. Seeing home again was nice.

Yeah... I think we were lucky to get them in the first place, though!

I think so, too. I liked seeing my old house.

My house is in the mountains near the forest. It's a really pretty area. What did your globe look like?

Wow, in the mountains? That sounds really nice.

There were a couple different places in mine! There was the school, and the courtyard, and the dorms, and the studio.

It's where my dad grew up; I really like it there. Cities are okay, but I like open country better.

I guess you spent a lot of time at your school, huh?

I think I like each! There are good things about both of them.

Mhm, I lived in the dorms there.

Oh, so it was a boarding school? [His mother never would have let him go to one of those. Her baby boy, not living at home? No!]

I'd never been to an actual school before I got here. I got homeschooled and had tutors sometimes.

Mhm! It was really fun.

Was it easier to learn from home?

Mostly, we were just really far out of the cities, so yeah, it was easier that way. And I think my mom was worried that some other kids would be a bad influence on me. [He'd heard her talking to his grandpa about that, once.]

And I guess it was a pretty good education, because I already knew all the stuff they teach kids my age here.

Were the kids in the schools not nice or something?

I dunno; I never got to go. Honestly, I think Mom was just being overprotective. But it's just because she loves me. [See what a sweet kid he is?]

I think that's a good reason to be overprotective.

I never got mad at her over it, or anything. [Get mad at his mother? Are you insane?? What kind of horrible son does that?]

Anyway, I know she'd want me to get a good education while I'm here, so I'm going to one of the universities. [Yeah, you heard right, Ahiru. And he's younger than you, even.]

[...Pause.]

O-One of the universities?
