Prosecutor-
My name is Dr. Daedalus Yumeno. I was a citizen of Romdeau City, until it was destroyed and I found myself here- arriving much in the same matter as you, and all newcomers. I help run the free clinic, at our community center.
I have been here in the city for a year, eight months, and seventeen days. Within that time, little to no new information has surfaced regarding the whys or hows of our 'pull' here...other than a few notable observation patterns in arrivals. People show up from various eras, realities- none of us are able to travel too far beyond the bounds of this island, due to a force that's almost like gravity, tethering us here.
Certainly no individual has stepped forward to claim accountability for our 'kidnapping', as we are widely considered unwelcome here by 'natives'. Second or third generation natives, at best. You see-
The most broadly accepted explanation for our presence here are the phenomenal side effects of a malfunctioning device which has been untouched by man since it decimated the island's population nearly a century ago.

Then why don't they fix this useless device instead of allowing it to continue? I, for one, feel rather as though I've been drugged. Wouldn't have been the first time one of those loathsome defense attorneys tried to hinder me from doing my job.

The city is not permitting anyone to tamper with it, for fear of further damages. The guards you see, just off the diamond, are defending it from interlopers.
Nausea and exhaustion are common physical reactions to arrival. You'll probably feel better after a bit of rest. Speak with the greeters, they're in charge of passing along information. The higher ups in City Hall, the administration, will not take the complaints of new and confused arrivals.

[He rises, a bit unsteadily, though he doesn't give any indication of his weakness and starts to move, tilting the NV in such a way that he could still be seen though he was moving in the Darkness over home plate.]
No. I'm afraid it's an old injury, aggravated by...This wretched cold and whatever "Pull" nonsense that was mentioned by the girl here. Medical staff, or so she claims. She appears suspicious, Doctor.
But that was the best they could do, incompetent as they are. It's recommended I see a physician.
[He scoffs.]

I can set an appointment for Wednesday morning, or you can see one of my colleagues, sooner. Dr. Xavier would be able to waive any X-ray costs.

For whatever reason however the coast seems to be clear. Remarkably clear, for a full moon. Quiet, but nothing more.

Not to give you an undue fright, but the things that prowl the night, the mutation? They've already received the death penalty.
I used to work the night shift, at the clinic. I know what they are capable of.

Mutated animals? And these are the "Darkness" creatures that I've been told exist?
[There's the howling again, except closer, and now as he stares out he can see a trashcan lid fly and roll towards him. It stops at his feet, and he, along with it, pauses, only to see a feral-looking dog bound up to him. He frowns, but doesn't retreat, merely ignoring the thing.]
Shoo.
[Is all he says, though it doesn't seem to be attacking. Merely staring with blank black eyes.]
It's only a dog. Now then.

[Daedalus says tersely in turn, worried for the man, so he's leaning forward part way in his seat. Franziska would be more than angry with him, if he'd allowed for anything to happen to a relative while he was still on the line.]
Some won't attack unless provoked, but I wouldn't dawdle in waiting to see which do and don't.
