Tonight is the first Full Moon of the new year. I'm so excited! I missed last months Full Moon Ritual so I've got to try to find something really special to do. Nyx doesn't hold grudges, I don't think, but I still feel a little guilty. Especially after all she's given me

But I've got a few questions first. Like... who is Nyx, exactly?

Nyx is my goddess, she's the one who Marked me as a Vampyre. She's often called the Goddess of Night, she's very loving. Nyx is also the one that gives me all these Marks.

[See those tattoos Sora? They cover like... half her body!]

Kind of but they tingled a little, more than anything. Thank the goddess that I didn't get all of them at once.

So what are they for? Do they stand for anything? How long does it even take to get all those done?

All Vampyres on my version of Earth have them, except theirs only cover their face. Usually the Marks indicate a Vamps affinity. Like, Stark has some that look like arrows and his affinity is the ability to fire an arrow and hit his target no matter what.

They usually happen instantly, when a fledgling completes the Change. I get them-

[A pause as she waits for the usual punch in the gut feeling she gets whenever Nyx doesn't want her to say something.]

-I get them whenever I do something that fall in line with the goddesses intentions for me.

Wow, you must've made Nyx really happy, then! [Because seriously. That's a lot of tats. He peers a little closer to the camera.]

A moon... Swirls...

Lemme guess. Your affinity iiiiss... flying? Or maybe wind spells!

[And they go all the way around her waist, across her chest and even on her palms.]

All Vamps have the moon on them, fledglings only have an outline. My affinity is actually all five of the elements: fire, earth, water, air and spirit. Air does help soften a landing though.
