[ As Greeters, Caster had seen Mary every now and then in the span of their shifts. They didn't often have a chance for conversation, but the passing impression that she left the magus didn't match with the one currently shown in her video feed. Caster flicked on a private filter, just in case Mary wasn't comfortable with prying eyes whenever she became sober. ]
Good evening, Mary. [ A hint of a warmth, easily tantamount to a soft smile. ] I wouldn't mind, seeing how I've been living by myself in the Apartments for a while now. It wouldn't be quite so lonely, having a roommate.
But... [ Her voice grew gentle. ] Are you sure this is what you're looking for?

[This reply she leaves for a good, long time. Hours. She sleeps it off and comes back to the post around mid-morning, well after a nicely distracting chat with the talking House (!!!) and some coffee to clear the slight hangover.
When her reply finally does come, it's muted and a little dull.]

[ By mid-morning, Caster was in the kitchen, pouring some tea into a thermos when the flash of her orb, the form her NetVice took, alerted her to a response. Setting down the flask on the counter, she headed over to where she left her communications' device on the table. With a single brush of her hands, she initiated the recording. ]
Good morning, Ms. Winchester. [ A sincere voice in another implicated smile. ] I see you had time to think this through.
I hope everything is all right. [ She noticed the dull tone of her voice, and it made had wonder. However, she wouldn't press for an answer that she felt uncomfortable giving. ]

You're welcome. It's understandable, given all that you have been through. [ She tread carefully on the issue, knowing full well that it was a post she likely intended as private. However, she wouldn't skirt around the truth when it was the core of the issue. ]
But if you ever change your mind, please keep me in mind. Being a Greeter is a dangerous job and being alone can make that twice as risky. I don't know if I ever told you this before, but...I'm a member of the Greeter's protection group as well. It was with your safety in mind when I accepted.
[ It was a subtle question: Are you safe? Caster had evaluated her search for a roommate as a sign that Mary felt vulnerable or unguarded. If necessary, she would be glad to offer her protection. ]

On further thought, I... don't think so.

[A little bit of a smile forced into her voice.]
It's.. fine. I had plenty of time to think, and being suddenly alone in this apartment isn't a good reason for looking for a roommate.
Thank you for using a filter. I appreciate it.
