[But then he's up, snatching his Sonic and pointing it at the main light switch as soon as he hears that door shut, switching off all the lights and putting a little bit of a motion sensor on the little Christmas tree.
So when Rose wanders her way into the main room, she'll be setting off the myriad of lights he hadn't quite shown off to the network. All blinking off and on to the sound of jingle bells echoing out of the Sonic underneath the tree, acting as a power source of it all.
And suddenly, voices are going to start coming. Voices of her mum, of Mickey, of Rose herself and of the Doctor. Their first Christmas dinner together, all that time ago. Stored in the memory portion of that little screwdriver of his. And all the while, he's just leaning against a doorframe, grinning like an idiot.] Well, whaddya think? Too much?

The Jingle Bells addition is a little creepy. If only because the homicidal tree they'd had two years ago (at least in Rose's case) had sung a cheery tune. It's the sound of voices, though; her own, Mickey, Mum, even the Doctor-- all pouring out and she's sure it sounds like that last Christmas together.
He's gonna make her cry again one of these days. For now, there's just a tug of a grin pulling across her face. She can hear him before she sees him.]
