For anyone who has a hangover due to partying on Friday and Saturday I've heard that drinking pickle juice helps. It's also good for you. Caffeine is something you should avoid, obviously. Same with Aspirin, Tylenol and Ibuprofen. One'll thin your blood, the other can damage your liver and the last can cause your stomach to bleed. Nice, isn't it ( Read more... )

The aftereffects of drinking. They're richly deserved.

Well if you're going to drink yourself sick and wake up getting your stomach pumped or your head in the toilet then you deserved it obviously.

I should say if you're going to drink at all, that is true.

I don't see anything wrong with a glass of wine from time to time, but I'm not exactly fond of alcohol I'll admit.

There are better things to be addicted to.

Hey, if you were a product of the environment I grew up in, you'd have some sort of addiction or vice too. It's not a matter of wishing, it just happens.

No. I don't think I would.

And tell me, what is it that induces such an addiction in one?

It varies from person to person, but it's a combination of various factors. I don't even think I'll bother explaining because regardless of what I say you won't be able to relate to the situation or will dismiss it entirely.

Every single child that I knew developed an addiction or neurotic tick. There were a lot of kids.

Imagine being a child with no personal ties to anyone. Imagine growing up in an environment where every single one of your peers is a rival and threat to your success. Imagine everyone being given the same goal to fight for and strive toward only there can be just one winner and one winner alone.

There is no love. No one cares about your well being. There is no break. There is no escape. There's only winning and losing, so much so it becomes your very will to live.

It's enough to drive even the strongest of people to suicide, and it has.
