[ The feed opens to a man in a snazzy suit and eyepatch standing in a backdrop of Christmas decorations and a gigantic tree. Little fellows in white scuttle about behind him, looking for ornaments and other such shiny objects to place on the half-finished tree. Xigbar pays them no mind. ]
Ladies and gentlemen of the Port! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Xigbar, and on behalf of the Xino E. Mao Corporation, I'll like to wish you all a wonderful holiday season. As you can see [ he makes a sweeping gesture at the tree ] we are also gearing up for this special time of year. [ His smile widens. ] In fact, we're so excited this year that we're inviting the entire Port to join us for a very special celebration.
[ And soon enough, Demyx carries a box out from behind the tree, pausing to squint at the branches, the contents of the box, then turns his attention towards Xigbar. ]
Hey, uh... Xiggy? Where's this one go? It's got the blue 'n green lights in it with some more of that itchy string-boa stuff--Oh! [ Reaching inside, he pulls out a chunk of the lights with a small remote dangling from it. ] And it's got the, uh... This thingy! The light-blinker thing.
[ His expression edging into the deadpan territory, Xigbar glances at Demyx and gestures. ] Over there, dude. Let the kids help you.
[ That's what he was afraid of. ] Eugh... I still dunno why they can't do all of thi-- [ Before he can even finish, a one of the 'kids' snatches the cord from his hand and loops it around Demyx's ankles and bolts, dragging him down with it. ] --Yeouch!
[ Xigbar just watches all this with a nonchalant air. ] Because they're kids, dude. Troubled kids. You wouldn't want to be deemed an irresponsible adult, would you?
W-Well, no, but--! [ Oh. Crap. Reinforcements, and they've got the rest of the lights. ] Gah! No, no, no! Put that down! Don't-- [ Say goodbye, Xigbar; those kids are starting to drag that oh-so-helpful asstant up the tree. ] Xigbar! Call 'em off! H-Heel, sit! Stay! Down!
[ Nice knowing you, Demyx. Xigbar just continues to watch for a moment before turning back to the screen -- and shrugs! ] Heh. Kids these days.
[ Ignoring any other sounds of distress, he forges on, undeterred: ] Now, as I was saying -- we, of the Xino E. Mao Corporation will be hosting a holiday celebration over at Club 24 on the 23rd of December. The festivities will begin at noon and end at 4:30 PM. We'll have a little something for all ages, including a special visitor. [ A sharp little grin. ] So! Be sure to tell your friends and family about our little gathering. All proceeds collected during the event will be going to those in need. [ His smile widens. ] I hope to see you there.
