[She's read the news article, and she's told herself that when they first spoke again, she wouldn't cry. She'd been prepared for him to be the one crying, after what had happened. When she sees the message come through the network, she's shocked at how nonchalant it reads. The words are met with unease and confusion; how could someone be so calm after that?

When she stops to consider that it could be because he's been through things like this before, she can't bring herself to say anything for a while.]
