[Riddick's been ignoring the network for a while now, but he's had his shot at trying to escape and it didn't go quite as planned. He's a survivor, first and foremost, and he's had time to think over what he needs to do next, and it mostly falls back on gathering more information.]
They say there's nothing better than first hand experience. But I think I could've lived without dying. First time reports of my death have been true. [A pause.] Not that it means much, here.
[He had no reputation, hadn't been giving his name out. There were no hunters to throw off his trail. But then, he hadn't busted out of this 'slam' yet.]
Tech like this 'Core' would make a mess, my side of the universe. You'd have all the marshals and mercs and bounty hunters out of business. Makes me wonder if it's really something you're meant to find, 21st century Earth.
