Woodworking? Are you having something made for you?

Yes, there is a particular game I would like to begin playing again, and it requires the creation of a table and tiles.

[Iroh admired Nami's knack for business, she seemed to be quite good with money, he was pleased to be working for her]

A game hmm? [Ya know, he could set up a game room in the shop and invite old guys to come and play. She wouldn't mind. But yes, she is good with money, and some how got stuck with too many businesses. Personally, she hates it, but the money is nice]

What kind of game? Something from home?

Yes, it is a strategy type game from back home, though to some it is much more then a game.

[He pauses for a moment and sips at his tea]

I plan to copyright it, and then spread the game around.

[He's been reading up on business law. While he would prefer to maintain the integrity of Pai Sho, it could provide the money to fund his tea shop. Having business oriented ideas also would spread it around faster then trying to make it part of the culture]

Copyrighting it is a good idea. Have you considered selling the game idea to Spark's casino? I hear they like to buy new game ideas and collect off world ideas. Might be a good way to get it known too.

[If he ever needed some funding to start that tea shop, she's pretty good with helping others get started as well. Lets jsut not ask where the extra money comes from stolen from Sparks Casino by another pirate, shhhh]

I have considered that as well. I simply have to make sure they don't gain the sole rights to it in the contract. As long as that is made clear then it is perfectly acceptable.

[Iroh is fine with that too. He may even teach her some of the hidden messages you can convey within the game. White lotus society style! ]

Their contracts can be tricky, but at least they don't have connections to either company, so that much is good. Read the details well though. [She's a stickler for reading the fine print, but she's pretty sure Iroh is going to be careful too. She likes him. Smart old man and all]

By type, I assume you mean old! It was popular amongst all ages in my world, so I hope so. But with all of this technology and entertainment available it is hard to say.

I assure you, I did't mean old. More like... intelligent. Strategy games tend to take brains. You've seen some of my crew mates [The idiots that WERE in the shop and restaurant and now mostly gone, yet again... ffff] It's rare to find someone with a sense of humor, manners as well as a brain. I bet there's a fair enough market out there for it though. Chess seems to go well with some people here.

I certainly hope it catches on, while I have enjoyed playing the other games, I miss what I grew up with.

I shall let you know. I had hoped to give some work to another newcomer first, but I will have it made eventually regardless. It would be a delight teaching you how to play, it is a game for people of all walks of life, though I think of your crew, you would take to it the quickest.

There has been one who is willing to give it a try, but it is still up in the air, so details and money still need to be discussed and arranged.

It would be good to have a challenging opponent, it improves your game, and makes the experience much better.
