[Rain grips the NV, silent as he weighs the options. If he runs out there now, there's no telling if he'll even survive in one piece, much less make it in time. It just wouldn't help the situation at all. But still, he has to do something! Then he blinks at the device he's clutching, and the idea strikes him like lightning. Of course. The only way to reach out to people in the dark is by NV.]

Just hang on, ok, Duo? I'm going to try calling the management in your building and get them to you!

[It's a long shot, but it's better than nothing.]

(ooc:I'm totally up for Duo continuing the conversation after he's all healed up. :] Does that work?)

[He doesn't say anything, and after a while there's the sound of a door opening and closing, footsteps, and the NV shuts off.

It's about twenty minutes later when it comes back on again, and Rain is reconnected to Duo. He looks much better - a bit pale, and kind of dirty, but alive and breathing.]

Hey... sorry 'bout that...

[Rain's been gripping the NV the entire time, having done all he could and resigned to waiting. When Duo reappears, Rain breathes a visible sigh of relief, shoulders slacking and tension seeping out from his posture]

I'm so glad you're okay.

Yeah... cut it a little close there...

[Duo's rubbing his shoulder, wincing still. It's healed, but there's still some discomfort. He did almost tear his arm out after all]
