Shit! Goddamnit--!
[What a lovely way to start a video feed, right? Cursing, weird angles, thudding from an NV being dropped. Well, there's a good reason for that, and it becomes apparent when Duo finally manages to pick the damn thing up again, smearing a bit of blood on the lens. Not enough to obscure him from view, thankfully, but it's there. And

[Her face, like her voice is somehow both serene and businesslike.] I am a healer. If you're able to give me your address, I can be there in short order.

[There's a very uncomfortable sounding groan from the ex-pilot before he's able to rattle off his address in Sector Five to her.]
Th-thanks, j-just... door's unlocked... and...
[unfortunately for him, whatever adrenaline got him out of there is now completely gone, and he doesn't even finish his sentence before slumping over and collapsing completely.
Might want to hurry.]

[She doesn't even bother with a nod of confirmation, seeing him collapse like that; she's got what she needs and she's off, Minazuki in hand more in the capacity as a weapon than anything else. Going out unarmed after Darkness would have been foolish.
[She finds the place easily, and kneels down next to the injured young man, taking in his injuries. They're certainly not pretty, but as a healer -- one who's been at it far longer than any human lives -- she does not wince, nor does her face crinkle in distaste. First and foremost, the bleeding needs to be stopped; all other treatment is secondary.
[Her hand hovers over the worst of it, a green glow surrounding her palm as she works with both his own energy and her reiatsu to repeair the damage. Blood leakage slows, and gradually stops as the flesh knits together.]

[That gets him to stir a bit, but only enough to open his eyes and look up at her blearily. In his haze he can't remember much of how he even got there (there was a lot of running involved, and he some how had the clarity to call for help, obviously) but he doesn't jump or panic.
He just lays there, watching her through half-lidded eyes, the pain at least dulling enough to keep him conscious.]

[She's about to ask him to remain still when he does it of his own volition. His head should get clearer the more she closes up the wounds, but for the moment, it's good to get him talking, to see how coherent he is.] May I ask your name?

[His head gets clearer, yes, but with that comes recognizing just how much pain he was in before he passed out. That's fading, too, but damned if he doesn't feel like he got smacked by a Mack truck face first, accounting for the quiet near-muttered answers.]

[She also might have a few words for you if the location where you were attacked is really far from your place, Duo. Long journey while bleeding like this? Not smart.]

Not... far from here... o-ow...
[The healing part is great, but bones resetting and mending rapidly like that is not exactly a comfortable sensation.]
Few blocks over...

That much is fortunate, at least. I had hoped as much, that you hadn't been injured further away and decided to return home before calling for assistance.
[She glances up briefly at the wince.] My apologies for the discomfort, but I assume you'd prefer functionality in your arm sooner rather than later.

Yeah... 'sfine... I've had worse...
[Well, he has, and he hasn't. He's broken limbs before, but never quite that badly.
He does manage a smile, though, and a weak laugh.]
I was almost home, too...

[The last of the cracks close, and she withdraws both the kidou and her hand.] The bone will ache for a while as it readjusts to being whole again. Would you like to have anything to dull the pain? [She doesn't expect him to say yes, and she won't make him, but it would have been irresponsible for her not to make the offer.]

Heh... you don't know the half of it. Thanks, uh... ... sorry. Didn't get your name, passed out an' all.

[She smiles and shakes her head.] Your thanks are appreciated, but unnecessary; I merely did my duty. [And here, she inclines her head in greeting.] I am Unohana Retsu.

Duo Maxwell. Didn't give ya the full name before. Nice t' meet ya, Unohana.

And equal pleasure, though certainly not under the best of circumstances. As is often the way with doctors, I suppose. [It's said in a calm, light tone.]

Comes with the territory, I imagine. Seriously, though... you saved my ass. I thought I was a goner.
