[ The video comes on to a close-up to Bruce's cheek. He's surprisingly clean-shaven, though the skin looks pretty pale. Then, there's a finger, scratching at the skin... then the camera pans back, back. Bruce is peering at it. ]

... Okay, that's just rude, Core. No candy for you. [ He sighs quietly. ]

So. I'm back. [ Pause. He rubs at the back of ( Read more... )

[Franz is goofing off on his break, probably. He's in a rather sweet-looking office, dressed in a suit, etc.] I do believe Dr. Yumeno covered all the seriously depressing stuff. Or important stuff. Whichever you might deem it. [laugh]

...There's a really good sale on turtlenecks?

Do you wear turtlenecks that often? [ WITH THE UNDERLYING CURRENT OF 'Do you get bitten that often on the neck'? ]

[laughing] They're a must have for casual winter fashion this year, and they look excellent under a statement-print jacket.

I believe the sale also extends to sweaters.

I'll be taking your approval as an invitation, then?

Yes. You have 100% access to my neck until the spring.

[ A small quirk of the lips. ]

Things must be going at least a little bit okay if you have time to think about fashion, huh.

A gentleman should always make time to look his best. [He laughs at himself for saying it, though.]

Gentlemen are sadly rare nowadays, however.

That's why gentlemen like you and I must keep up good appearances.

Of course.

It's a good thing the Core dragged me back when I had a good suit on. I was starting to run out of those.

You're very lucky! The clothes from my time are not considered very fashionable by anyone here.

What kind of clothes did you wear in your time?

why don't i just edit this six more times hisdiscretion November 12 2011, 11:06:47 UTC
Only slightly more elaborate than what you would see here. Vests and overcoats, cravats, gloves.

The main issue is that they'd be considered rather loud. Few solids, only patterns. I'll show you my favorite suit someday - the Core brought it to me as a New Year's gift last January. The fabric is really the key difference - there's nothing really like it here.

The irony is what people call an eyesore here was actually on the more conservative side in Paris. But, when in Rome...

[Franz shrugs, he's not all that messed up over it. He still favors a more 'classic' style of tailoring, but has more or less given up on the patterns-with-patterns thing.]

So basically, you guys dress like the loudest of hippies during the sixties?

--No, absolutely not! The fashion was far more refined!

[Maybe more like Austin Powers.]
