[The feed clicks to show death warmed over. Otherwise known as poor little Maya, currently cocooned in blankets in bed looking pale, snotty, red-nosed, shivery, and otherwise totally like crap. Someone's got a really bad flu. Her voice is small and scratchy when it comes out, too weak to even be a whine]

But I'm fiiiiine, Mr. Armando! I just need ( Read more... )

Ah....

.... Maybe rope to b-break me out?

And noodles.

I hardly see how ropes would be necessary.

[The noodles, however...]

I'll see you soon.

[And click goes the NV connection.]

[Some time later, Franziska's knocking at the door carrying a suspiciously large cardboard box in her arms. If Maya's been timing, she might realize that it took her somewhat longer to get there than it should've -- but what reason would Maya Fey have to be timing?]

[She isn't. She's just waiting in bed, flopped and dozing. At the sound of Franziska coming in, she opens her eyes]

Ah, Franziska?

[Maya Fey looks completely and utterly under the weather. And that is also an understatement. Franziska purses her lips grimly.]

Liven up a little, Maya Fey, I thought that you weren't feeling ill at all.

In any case... [she rests the large box against her knee and jiggles it] ... I brought you a present.

[Very much correct, Franziska. However, at her words Maya tried her best to straighten up and appear fine. ... This didn't work. At all.]

I'm not! I-I'm totally fin...

A present?

Indeed.

[She sets the box down on the ground near the door now, takes her keys out of her pocket and proceeds to cut open the tape holding the box together. Then she straightens, now holding a package in her hands.]

Noodles.

[She tosses the packet lightly at Maya's bed, careful not to hit her in the head by accident. Of course, her aim is perfect.]

Are you hungry?

[Sadly, Maya's in no shape to really retrieve it, but she tries anyway]

Kinda. [She could barely keep anything down, sob.]

[Franziska sees that struggle, and eyes Maya dubiously.]

Maybe we should save these noodles for later.

[She walks over to pick up the packet she'd just tossed, and sits on the end of Maya's bed instead.]
