I do remember what dreams are. I just didn't know the dead could dream. I knew they could be unconscious, but I didn't think they could have dreams.
Or I guess it would be called a "nightmare", when it's a dream like those.
I guess I'm sort of lucky that I don't understand a lot of what's happening in those nightmares. Spares me a little bit of fright. Fortunately, I guess a ghost doesn't really have to worry about being afraid... it's apparently common for ghosts to scare people, so it only follows that a ghost doesn't have much to be afraid of.
[He pauses for a moment, and would sigh... if the dead could sigh.]
Anyway. Speaking of ghosts, Halloween is coming up. I seem to have some memories about what that is. A holiday where people wear costumes and get lots of candy. Pumpkins and goblins and witches and black cats, right?
I've also heard that it's a night when the souls of the dead can come back to the world of the living for a visit. I'm not sure how that applies to the souls of the dead who are already here... maybe I'll be visible for the day? I don't suppose anybody might have some experience in that?
Oh well. If not, I guess we'll just have to see.
