Hidden away in behind other more important articles in today's news is a small blurb about a possible newcomer found dead behind a dumpster. The writer described in morbid detail about the decapitated and disemboweled body of a white haired young male thought to be a newcomer. The face and body are almost unrecognizable because of the darkness and the extreme body mutilation. The only connection at all that the body could possibly be a newcomer is the two foot tall graffiti on the alley wall above the dumpster that reads “Byebye Newcomer” in bright fuchsia letters.
The article goes on to say that the death and graffiti looks very reminiscent to the Newcomer Killer a year ago and though the police have considered it they are already ruling this out due to several different nuances. Officer Peters was quoted: “That’s over with. They haven’t made a show of it for a year now. Whoever did this is more likely a crude copycat murder then anything else. We’ve got evidence collected to say otherwise, no need to raise a scare.”
-Turkey Trouble!
Due to Saturday's electrical impulse one of the main turkey processing plants in the port had its inner workings short circuit, causing production to come to a standstill. The owner of the plant assures its distributors that it'll be up and running in no time and that the demands for turkeys will be met before Thanksgiving on Monday. Even so, with people celebrating over the long weekend, some grocery stores are already seeing a shortage of the birds for sale.
Food Drive!
The Church of Jonova has been urging those in the community to continue to donate to their Thanksgiving Food Drive. It's that time of the year to be giving, and the food drive is going strong. Even so, people are encouraged to donate whatever they can, whether it be money or non perishable goods to the drive. Food will then be distributed Thanksgiving Day, Monday October 10th. Everyone deserves to have a Thanksgiving Dinner, after all.
