Viral Source Located, Strange Metal Cell Structures Disappear!
In a strange and abrupt recovery, the strange hexa-virus strain appearing in the port earlier this week has made just as abrupt a disappearance. As of this morning’s sirens, the unmistakable pattern has mysteriously and completely vanished from both infected patients and machinery. Patients already admitted to the city hospitals and SERO’s disease control and research center will be kept quarantined for an additional 12 hours for observation.
Kyoji Kasshu, suspected of introducing this virus to the port, was arrested this morning when he was spotted walking into town from the agricultural sector, being supported by his younger brother, Domon Kasshu. While the infection seems to have mysteriously vanished overnight, police still brought Kyoji into custody quietly. However, Domon assaulted two officers before Kyoji told him to stop, and went with police willingly. Domon was brought to the station along with his brother, who is to stand trial for his crime of reckless endangerment with powers.
Fugitive Vampire Arrested
After nearly two months of searching, SPPD officers at last arrested Newcomer fugitive Raphael Sorel yesterday morning after an hours-long chase that took place partially during darkness. Sorel, a vampire wanted for multiple counts of assault, has been an uncomfortable footnote in the efforts of other vampire groups, including the Sanguinarian Society. The Sanguinarian Society is expected to release a statement with regards to Sorel's arrest within the next few days.
Sorel was taken into custody, booked and incarcerated with no parole, due to his perceived flight risk. Formal charges will be filed within the week and a trial is expected to be announced shortly.
