[There's a voice that's familiar to a few people around, but he doesn't know it yet. You can hear his teeth actually chattering. It was a lot warmer when he was at home, okay? And even more embarrassing, his voice is squeaking more than it has since middle school.]
I guess I'm new here. I don't think I understand what just happened. Is there someone who can do a re-cap? People keep saying something about getting shelter before dark, so if you can tell me where to find that building with the apartments...[He breathes for a few seconds while he stares around, not that anyone can see that. But if he sounds a little panicked, it's because he is. The polite tone of voice he's trying to use wavers in and out, depending on how hard he's concentrating on it. Yep, freaked out kid is a little freaked out.]
