That's the pity with cats; they can't be trained nearly as well as dogs.

[ Helen's a little surprised when the voice comes into her room but doesn't let it show, and replies as she goes about clearing up the mess off-camera ]

The same could be said for many dogs - its more on the individual animal itself rather than the species.

[ And when she comes back into view, picking her NV up off the table, she has Ashley scooped into her arms ]

Oh, really? I don't think so; I've never met a well-trained cat. Dogs, on the other hand, are bred to be trained.

Then perhaps that may say more for those whom owned it than the cat. Cats are intelligent creatures, hence their great independence. I wouldn't necessarily call it training them but there is much to be learned in both respects.

I wouldn't exactly say nuisance. [ Ashley wasn't but the odd accident by way of her fun was. Helen had already cleared it up - nothing important nor irreplaceable - and was sat back on her couch, NV by her and Ashley in her lap, falling asleep to being petted ]

She's young, it's something that comes with it. [ Something she knew too well child or animal, even new abnormalities counted ]
