VIII. audio/action

Sep 11, 2011 22:59

[The rustling of leaves is faintly audible in the background when the feed turns on. It's a long moment before he speak, but when he does, the air seems to warm a few degrees.]

A light shines in darkness.

Do you follow or pass it by?

It doesn't seem to me like there's much of a point in passing it by.

The choice is always there.

But then you wouldn't know where the light led.

Where would you have it lead?

Why would someone pass that by?

It is their choice.

Well, yeah . . . I guess I just don't see any reason not to follow it. I know that's what I'd do.

To what end?

It depends entirely on what sort of light it is.

The kind that lasts.

As long as it is needed.

It depends on if that's the light you're looking for.

[Joe sounds a little more wary, or defensive than usual in his answer. In fact, he hasn't really done much seeking of the light lately, let alone seeking out Aslan. Where he's usually been relaxed, at ease, right now he seems a little cautious with avoidance.]

[Oh, Joe. He already knows. He's not angry either, though one might expect him to be.]

There are times we seek without knowing what we'll find.

I know what's important enough to be in the darkness, looking for.

What have you learned?

The situation in which it occurred would be a factor.

[He can't truly sense in the way he could before, but there's still something that makes him bother to answer this post.]

It could be many things.

[Hi, Cas.]

[He has taken this question literally s-sob.]

Some would be wise to follow, others less so. What is causing the light, and for what reason, are of most import in deciding which action to take.

[It's okay, Cas. He loves you still!]

It is what it is.
