Oui, I agree with everything that you've said! Some people can't handle being married, but some need to, in order to feel fulfilled. That is fine too. As for divorce... well. That is a different matter entirely.

It sounds way too messy, even for me. I never really thought much about the whole relationship stuff but as far as I'm concerned I'd be fine with just living with whoever I end up with. Just in case stuff doesn't work out and all that.

If that is what suits you, then that is fine. Cohabitation has only been a recent trend, in human history. If you were with someone, you were supposed to get married. That's simply how it was.
