Hey, I like some of the stuff ya got goin' on here, like the NV-thing and the movies with real-lookin' dinosaurs in 'em. But some things were better off the way they were.

I haven't heard of any, frankly. Nowadays barbershops use scissors and electric razors. We're a lot less trusting, nowadays.

Well, that too. But mostly because a straight razor is pretty damn dangerous.

[ It takes him a second to realise that's not a suggestion he's on narcotics, then there's some rustling as he fishes in the wastebin. ] Oh. Just trash. [ Now he has someone's attention he might as well run with it, but his tone of voice says it's more for his own amusement than any real hope. ] You ain't seen any pieces of paper with pointy writing on, have you?

[ Pointy writing- Bruce blinks, strangling his instinctive response. Instead, he just leans in slightly, and cocks his head. ]

[ The video comes on but Claire's mostly out of sight, ducked under his desk to rummage for the papers. When he comes back up he grins at the feed; even if he's just being humoured he appreciates this guy's effort to show curiosity. What he holds up to the screen is:

[ That's- his handwriting. Bruce hides the sudden alarm in him admirable, catching his sudden surge forward to change it into a panther-like, languid leaning. It won't do for the people at the police station to figure something's wrong, right?

This man seems harmless, but 'seeming' is a dangerous sport. He keeps his voice noncommittal, nonetheless. ]

You know, most people would throw away scraps when they find them, instead of keeping them.

I'm not most people! [ He's said something similar before with a straight face. This time it's a joke; he knows it was kind of silly keeping the papers, he just has difficulty dismissing his own whims. He toys with the paper for a second before tossing it away - onto the desk, not that trash. ] It's not somethin' I make a habit of but since there were two of them... I figured there must be more about.

[ He shrugs. ]

Probably. Whether or not it's actually worth finding is debatable, though.

Yeah, but you don't know 'til ya try! [ And there's a grin but it's noticeably half-hearted, since the trying hasn't gone as well as he'd hoped. ]
