[ when the video flickers on, it's immediately apparent that leo is in some sort of store, surrounded by electronics. there's no sign of the duke at the moment-- instead, it's quite simply just 'leo', in trousers, blouse, suspenders, and a coat that's too big for him (it might be vincent's). his hair's been pulled back in a dark violet ribbon, and he has one side of a set of headphones pressed to an ear.
he's also, surprisingly enough, smiling, expression pleased-- almost happy, in fact.
he leans in to the video, then lifts the headphones away from his ear. ]
I'm afraid I've been a bother to the clerks, but-- we really don't have anything at all like this where I'm from. I've been told that you can carry hundreds of records with you on one of these 'mp3 players', and there's-- so much music here.
[ he presses the headphones to the nv, and the faint sounds of
the crane dance can be heard. after a moment, he pulls it away again, having the grace to look something like sheepish, strange eyes warm in his face. ]
There's so much that I've not heard, even now. Different worlds, different musicians and composers, I suppose. It must seem silly to a lot of you, to be so thrilled over what seems like such a commonplace miracle. Still.. [ he glances away, peering down at something out of the screen. ] .. Vincent, it might be nice to have one of these eventually. When I'm a bit more comfortable with the technology behind it. [ he trails off into a mutter as he reaches to close the nv. ] A trip to the library might do..
