Cages are such horrible, terrible things. I'd like never to be in one again.

For what reason were you caged?

They thought me mad.

Though I suppose being here, in this body, is something of a cage, as well. A large one, but a cage nonetheless.

AUGH Totally missed this I am so sorry T_T notamare September 1 2011, 22:52:05 UTC
You seem quite aware of your senses to me. Why were you thought to be mad?

Yes, though I am aware of those who would not agree. For one such as I, it can be nothing else.

no worries! hisoldgirl September 3 2011, 04:32:10 UTC

I'm not meant to be in this body. I was a bit unstable the first time in it.

How long have you been here?

[ That is something she can also relate to. ]

Such things sound familiar, to me.

[ Disturbingly familiar, in fact. ]

Longer than I wished to be. The moon has waxed and waned eleven times already.

Time is such a funny thing, isn't it? What feels forever isn't much more than a blink of an eye, and yet moments can feel like millenia. It's a terrible thing, feeling it pass so slowly.

Yes - it is curious how those who are mortal and those who are not perceive time. I would still prefer to feel the slow passage of time to the feel of life dying around oneself.

Knowing the exact moment of death is different than being aware of each moment it approaches. I would rather the former than the latter.

Wow what the CRAP did I write back there @.@ SO much fail notamare September 6 2011, 23:31:25 UTC
Death is but a part of life, it is true. I suppose even knowning the day one is meant to die is enough to frighten those who do not accept their death.

[ It's different if it's not a natural death - being murdered is underestandable to feel fear from, but a regular death? Unicorn is all whatev about it. ]

I do not think any would care to feel the world as it does.

It seems to me most creatures fear a great many things they needn't fear.

What things do you refer to?

It is rare that a creature will fear something that they need not. It is oft a thing which will threaten their life.

Oh, but that's the strange thing about humans, especially. The Doctor's told me stories of them being afraid of shadows, and thoughts, and silly little things like balloons. It seems to me they could fear themselves, if they really wanted. It doesn't make much sense, does it?

It was humans you spoke of? I had thought you meant creatures of the forest.

[ Her mistake. Wait, what? ]

They fear...balloons?

Oh, no. I find fauna are quite capable of ignoring pointless terror receptors.

Indeed. And clowns and rocks and water and a whole assortment of other things. Isn't it strange? They even fear thoughts, like dreams.

[ A nod of agreement there. Of course she was fauna, so naturally she could agree. ]

I do not know what there is to fear about such things. Rocks and water do not contain maliciousness - they cannot harm one.

[ Well, unless you're caught in an avalanche, or drowning or something. ]
