A long time ago, I lived in a church with a man called Bishop. The sermons were nice, and I liked it when the people sang-- and I thought that maybe God existed if you believed in him, so while I was there I thought it would be nice to believe in God. But I don't think I really believe in something like that now. I didn't live there for very long, ( Read more... )

I believed in gods. I had proof of their existence, but I didn't worship them. I don't worship the Christian God in the least. I actually really want to punch His face in.

But I know He exists now because I've met His sons.

Bishop never talked about Gods...

I thought he only had one son?

Christians usually don't acknowledge the Pagans.

Nope. Jesus is the human son of God, but all the angels are his sons and daughters, too.

I don't know if Bishop was Christian-- there weren't any other churches there.

You've met real angels?

He might have been Catholic. It's all the same book, anyway.

Mmmhmm. I'm very close with an archangel.

Really? ...He didn't tell me very much about what the difference was. [Or that there was even really a difference at all or a different sort of belief under the same book, but eh.]

Are you sure they don't just-- have wings?

It's all different interpretation of the Bible. Really stupid thing to fight about, if you ask me.

[That gets her to laugh.] Oh, I'm definitely sure.

I didn't know people fought over it.

...Do they have the rings? The ones over their head?

hexyoutotuesday August 23 2011, 09:54:52 UTC
There's entire wars over it.

[And more laughing.] No. No rings, most humans can't see the wings, and they're definitely not what you'd expect.

It never seemed important enough to fight wars over...

But you've seen their wings?

You definitely aren't from Earth, then.

...not in the way you'd expect, but yes, I have.

No-- They called it Earth, but I only ever stayed in one city. I couldn't read very well then, either... I don't know very much about that place's past.

Then how did you see them?

You really needed to get out more.

[It takes her a moment to figure out how to explain that one.] I feel things differently than most people. I can mentally perceive energy.

That wasn't an option for me.

So-- you could feel them there? the wings?
